There is a national media campaign that says of Las Vegas, “What happens here…stays here.”  I don’t think so.  The truth is that God is at work in Nevada and people are noticing. 

We are in the exciting position of seeing God’s favor upon the efforts to expand His kingdom in Nevada.  As your Executive Director, I have the wonderful privilege to represent our state in numerous ways.  I work with great people and see life-changes taking place in lives across the state.

Your state staff is on the move and wants to work together with you as we push toward our Vision Statement.

Dr. Barnes has served as Executive Director of the Nevada Baptist Convention since early 2002.  Prior to leading Nevada Baptists, he served as Senior Pastor of three churches in Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada.  God blessed mightily in 20 years of pastoring.  Dr. Barnes received his education at Grand Canyon University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has been married to Susan for 26 years and is “Dad” to two grown daughters.  He is “Grandpa” to three fantastic little ones who are the apple of his eye.

 

Major Responsibilities

To administer, oversee, and direct the day to day operations of the Nevada Baptist Convention while developing, motivating, encouraging, and empowering the NBC team toward accomplishment of its mission.
